RØMA is a record of my adventures. Travel notes, photography, and creative experiments - sent once a week from wherever I am in the world. Think of it as a sort of logbook, part diary and part gallery, delivered to your inbox.
Texas childhood, university in Boston, a career in finance across the Northeast, seasons of vagabonding in Asia, a year in Moscow, the pandemic in my parents’ pool house, The School of Life’s entire curriculum, an AI consultancy in Austin.
Dawn, wild books, mountain air, useful ideas, stationery + “tools” of all kinds, movement - the rhythms of climbing, yoga & swimming, train travel, small towns, the sunrise/set palette, close friendships, family, engaging with art in all its forms - van Gogh, Picasso, Klimt, Bon Iver, Ludovico, Tom Sachs, James Turrell, Tarantino.
Together with my partner - “Vas” ⇢ “La Grieguita” - I’m packing up to spend a year on the road: Mexico, Europe, South America, Africa. There’s a tangle of whys behind the decision, but the center lines are simple:
To savor life.
To build a great love.
To do work we believe in.
“Well, he does venture farther out there than most of us…
but he usually brings back something very interesting.”
