Meet "Little Epic" đș
The Jug with a Job to Do
Gm everyone!
Itâs really good to be back.
I disappeared for a bit - a few months moving slowly in Oaxaca, following no set plan, and somehow becoming a regular at the childrenâs library. There is a story there (and Iâll tell it soon), but today I want to start smaller, lighter, more playful.
Iâve been working on a project that runs on two simple beliefs:
We shouldnât have to forget the ideas that inspire us.
Those ideas work better when theyâre âeasy to love.â
Thatâs the whole thesis. No footnotes.
So instead of explaining anything, I just want to introduce you to something.
Or⊠someone?
Meet Little Epic.
Who (or what) is he?
Heâs the most fun way I could think of turning a very old, very useful idea into a small object you can live with. If youâre new here, feel free to read Ways of Seeing - but you really donât have to. This is all you need to knowâŠ
A long time ago, a clever guy named Epictetus said something like:
âEvery situation has two handles -
the one by which it can be carried,
and the other by which it canât.â
Meaning: The same thing can feel light and workable or heavy and impossible - depending on how we approach it. At its simplest:
Events are neutral.
Our thoughts are not.
Perception changes everything.
Little Epicâs job is to remind you of that - cheerfully and without lecturing. Heâs got two handles: one smooth, one spiky. You put him on a desk, a shelf or a counter, and every now and then, when your eyes land on him, he gives you a little nudge:
âHey - you might have options here.â
Thatâs it. Thatâs the magic.
I made just 20, and each comes with companion stickers (same idea, formula style) to tag on notebooks, water bottles, and whatever else travels with you. If youâre feeling it, you can buy one here:
More pieces soon đ€đ»,
P.S. DM me if you want a specific color ;)

Love the idea!! Placed an order, canât wait đ
